"Love God, and Tie up your Camel”
will be the message for the Celebration Service with Minister of Record
Rev. Larry Schellink
on Sunday, May 19, 2024.
The service will be LIVE In-Person* and on ZOOM™ @ 10:30 a.m. Pacific Time
You likely have heard the expression many times, that we humans are actually “spiritual beings having a human experience” (or incarnation). With the emphasis on the primacy of our spiritual origin and nature, it is easy to succumb to the tendency to overlook the relative reality of human life, perhaps even denigrating our humanity and the human needs of the body, mind and affairs. To do so is to confuse illusion with unreality. While it is true that at our essence, we are spiritual beings, the relative reality of humanness in a physical world is our experience. That experience cannot be overlooked or ignored or diminished.
As Jesus said, “Be in the world, but not of it.” Join us Sunday as we look at how we can hold to a deep belief and sense of our divine identity, while functioning effectively in the world of form, or as Jesus put it, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God’s.”
This message will be in conjunction with the second half of our annual meeting followed by our Annual Picnic. All are welcome!
The Service will replay later in the week on our YouTube Channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNP-ZvkDFjrUI83uTMZsOzw
